Waveney Norse maintained park wins Green Flag for 8th year running

July 2018

Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad, which is maintained by Waveney Norse and an active Friends Group, has again been recognised by the Green Flag Award Scheme as one of the very best in the world.

The prestigious Green Flag Award is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible environmental standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent visitor facilities.

The park presents a mixture of environments for Norse and the Friends group to maintain including high quality herbaceous planting, mature trees and ponds as well as tennis courts, a bowling green, large open space and children’s play area.

Ben Falat Chair of Oulton Broad Parish Council said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for the 8th year from Keep Britain Tidy.  We know how much quality green spaces matter to residents and visitors, and this award celebrates the dedication that goes into maintaining Nicholas Everitt Park to such a high standard”.
